My due date approaches faster final exams before Christmas Break. I've taken classes, read books, and practiced breathing/relaxation techniques. Still, no one knows the exact form of this pinnacle moment until it actually unfolds.
Regardless birthing, and motherhood, will become a part of who I am ... part of my identity ... just like my love for vibrant pedicures.
OPI: quick-drying, long-lasting colors with bizarre names. |
Which color should brighten the birthing room?
I vote orange...that's what I am rocking right now. It is a warm sunny color.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the other day that you and I should go get a pedicure together. You'd LOVE Cocok's 45 minute leg/foot massage and drastically lower prices than anything you find in the US. Since that's not really possible, I'm glad you're doing something for yourself! My vote is Black Cherry Chutney.
ReplyDeleteNot "Blue My Mind" for a baby boy and what's sure to be a one-of-a-kind experience?
ReplyDeleteBlue=boy just seems too easy/obvious, besides he won't care. Although I do like the friend who had "Hi Max" painted on her toes ("Hi" on one big toe, and "Max" on the other) for her son's birth.
ReplyDeleteDid you know that in Japan they don't really make the blue/pink boy/girl color associations like we do? I found that interesting.
I'm not sure I want to write a message for the baby on my toes. Poor Ramlet will have enough going on without being taunted about not knowing how to read--just kidding! We aren't 100% on the name....
ReplyDeleteHusband thinks blue is too cliche and votes for multiple colors, but that's not really me. Still haven't made up my mind, but will do so soon. Got to get the pedicure off the things to do list!
